HARVEST SPORTS MEN’S BASKETBALL
January-April 2015

MISSION: "The objective of the Harvest Sports Ministry is “knowing God and making Him known through Christ-centered competition and fellowship.”

REGISTRATION: Registration will be available online at sports.harvest.org (November 30 – December 14, 2014) and on the Patio Sundays (November 30, December 7, and December 14, 2014). After December 14, 2014 applicants are considered late and will be put on a waiting list and placed on teams if and when spots become available.

COST: League registration fees are $60 per player and include league games, a season-ending tournament, official fees, and devotional materials. Fees must be paid in full upon registration and are nonrefundable.

WHO CAN PLAY: Men age 16 and older. Players age 16–17 must sign up with a parent or designated chaperone either participating on the same team or present during games. The Monday evening half-court league is for men age 35 and older. All players must consider Harvest Christian Fellowship their home church and must attend one of the main services weekly.

WHEN AND WHERE: The season will be played in The Court at Harvest Christian Fellowship. Full-court games will be on Saturdays from January to April between 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Half-court games will be on Mondays from January to April between 7:00 and 9:00 P.M.

TEAM INFORMATION: Players (returning or new) can place themselves into the draft pool and will be assigned to a team based on team and ministry needs. Players may seek to assemble a new team (maximum of 4 players). The balance of the team will be filled from the draft. New teams are added based on available space. The directors of the ministry will select team leaders. Any individual wishing to be a team leader must complete a Ministry questionnaire along with an interview to be considered. Leaders are selected based on ministry needs and availability.

LESSON INFORMATION: Team devotions are designed to help in your growth and Christian walk and are required for ministry participation. Lessons will be discussed together as a team in the gym each week before or after your game. If you have any questions, please e-mail sports@harvest.org or call the Church Office.
