The objective of the Harvest Sports ministry is “knowing God and making Him known through Christ-centered competition and fellowship.”
Registration will be available after church services on the Patio on March 15, 22, and 29. You can also register in the Church Office or online at signup.harvest.org.
After March 29, applicants will be put on a waiting list and placed on teams if and when spots become available. Late registrations will only be available through the Harvest Riverside Office.
League registration fees are $65 for the first player and $55 for other family members who live in the same home and are under age 18. Fees help cover field costs, supplies, officials, devotional materials, and family food nights.
Registration fees are nonrefundable.
Women and Men age 16 and older. Players age 16–17 must sign up with a parent or designated chaperone participating on the same team. All players must consider Harvest Christian Fellowship their home church and must attend one of the main services weekly.
The season will run April–July 2015. Games will be held on Saturday evenings at Reid Park with start times ranging from 5:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Devotional material will be provided for every registrant. Each team will review the lesson before or after each game. These devotions are designed to help you grow in your Christian walk and group time is mandatory for ministry participation.
Players (returning or new) can request a team or teammate or can place themselves into the draft pool and will be assigned to a team based on team and ministry needs.
Players may seek to assemble a new team (maximum of four players). The balance of the team will be filled from the draft. New teams are added based on available space.
The directors of the ministry will select team leaders. Any individual wishing to be a team leader must submit a Ministry Questionnaire and references to be considered. Leaders are selected based on ministry needs and availability.
Non-ASA-approved bats and metal cleats are not allowed.
