Youth Soccer | April – June 2015
MISSION
The objective of the Harvest Sports Ministry is “Knowing God and making Him known through Christ-centered competition and fellowship.”
REGISTRATION
Children ages 5 to 14 years who regularly attend Harvest Christian Fellowship are eligible to participate. Registration will be after Sunday services January 25, February 1 and 8. You can also register in the Church Office or online
at signup.harvest.org through February 8.
WHEN AND WHERE
The season will run April–June and will include approximately 10 games.
Games and practices will be held back to back between
8:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. on Saturdays at Woodcrest Christian
High School (18401 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92508).
COSTS
League registration fees are $55 for the first child and $45 for each additional sibling. After February 8, late registration fees are $65 per child. (Note: Registration fees do not constitute payment for a league, but support for the
Harvest Sports Ministry.)
Registration fees are nonrefundable.
Fees include a jersey, but players will need to purchase their own black soccer shorts (with no pockets), cleats, shin guards and socks.
Players must be properly equipped to participate.
VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are needed to serve as coaches, assistant coaches, team moms, referees, and security. No experience is necessary, but these positions require Children’s Ministry Worker processing or “current status” in the Children’s Ministry.
Other volunteer positions include helping with equipment set-up, equipment tear-down, and general cleanup. All parents are expected to volunteer 2–5 hours with the ministry during the season.
PARENT ORIENTATION
A Parent Orientation Meeting will be Sunday, March 22 at 1:30 P.M. in the Loft. At least one parent must attend this meeting.
OPENING DAY
The Opening Day Player’s Clinic will be Saturday, April 11 from 9:00 A.M.–12:00 P.M. at Woodcrest Christian High School.
